Saw Grapple – VOSCH 1950-7T VC

The ultimate tool for professionals in hazardous tree removal and pruning in critical areas. Weighing 1,420 kg and boasting massive rotation torque thanks to its four M1 motors, this equipment combines a cutting capacity of up to 800 mm with surgical control, compatible with 18–31 ton excavators.

Large description

Engineering and Design: Built for Critical Environments.
Designed under the “total durability” philosophy, the Vosch 1950-7T VC features oversized jaws and a reinforced structure built for heavy-duty daily operations. It is specifically engineered for tree dismantling in high-risk zones (highways, power lines, or railways) where safety and precision are non-negotiable. Every component is shielded to maximize service life and minimize maintenance downtime.
High-Performance Gripping and Rotation Power:
At the core of this unit are four M1 rotation motors delivering 58 kN of torque, allowing for the stable positioning of heavy logs even at difficult angles. With a closing force of 76 kN and a working pressure of 350 bar, it ensures the stem remains locked during the cutting and handling process, eliminating dangerous vibrations.
Cutting Quality and Integrated Technology:
Equipped with a 3/4″ pitch saw unit and a 100 cm guide bar, the 1950-7T VC slices through logs up to 800 mm in diameter with exceptional cleanliness. Integration is seamless: thanks to the onboard hydraulic manifold and the in-cab control display, operators can manage hydraulic priorities and perform maintenance (such as lowering the bar for chain replacement) remotely and safely.

Fleet Compatibility:
This head is optimized for:
  • Tracked or Wheeled Excavators: 18 to 30-ton range.
  • Hydraulic Flow: Requires 120 to 220 l/min for smooth performance.
  • Installation: Designed for direct connection to the hammer line.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
1. Is it difficult to install on a standard excavator?
Not at all. It is designed for the hammer line and features an integrated manifold that significantly simplifies the hydraulics. Operations are managed via an in-cab display.
2. What are the advantages of a 3/4″ chain over a standard one?
The 3/4″ chain is far more robust; it reduces breakages during difficult cuts and allows for high-speed professional processing in hardwoods or large-diameter trunks.
3. Can I use it for loading trucks as well as felling?
Yes, it is a dual-purpose tool. Its high closing force and rotation torque make it an exceptional loading grapple for moving logs at the roadside or onto trailers.
4. How is saw maintenance performed?
It’s very straightforward. The system allows the operator to lower the guide bar from the cab, providing easy access for chain changes without the need for complex tools or awkward positions.
5. Is it suitable for working near power lines?
That is its specialty. By allowing the operator to grip the piece before cutting (the “dismantling” system), it prevents branches from falling uncontrollably onto critical infrastructure.
