To ensure extreme durability in harsh environments, it features a KTL (cathodic dip-priming) treatment and powder coating, protecting the structure against corrosion and severe mechanical wear. Despite its size, the W600 offers a 620 mm opening and a 26-ton splitting force at 240 bar. It includes the Autospeed option—an intelligent hydraulic system that enhances splitting performance by optimizing pressure cycles based on the wood’s resistance. Its high-strength Hardox® blade penetrates the most demanding logs, allowing for fast and efficient pre-processing for the biomass industry.

Versatility and Biomass Quality: More Than Just a Splitter.
Pre-splitting with the W600 not only facilitates transport and chipper feeding but also allows for natural wood seasoning (drying). This process significantly increases biomass quality and final energy yield. Furthermore, thanks to its robust and ergonomic design, the tongs can be used as a conventional loading gripper to handle and organize logs on-site, eliminating the need to switch attachments.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

1. Does the 620 mm opening limit the maximum log diameter? No. The opening of the tongs determines the size of the final split piece, but it is not a limit for the maximum processable log diameter, as multiple splits can be made on much thicker logs.  

2. Can I use the W600 to load wood onto a trailer? Yes. The Woodcracker W600 is designed to also function as a loading gripper, allowing the operator to handle, sort, and load logs without changing tools.

3. What maintenance does the blade require? Thanks to the use of Hardox® steel, the blade is extremely wear-resistant. Maintenance is minimal, focusing on periodic inspections and greasing the premium bearings.

4. How does pre-splitting improve biomass quality? By splitting the log, the interior of the wood is exposed to the air, facilitating a much faster natural seasoning process. This reduces moisture content, prevents rot, and increases the energy yield of the final wood chips.

5. Is it difficult to install on a standard mini excavator? Not at all. The design is Plug-and-play, requiring a simple hydraulic connection that allows the machine to be operational in a very short time.
