More Power to Move More Wood: The key to the 8F GT lies in its powertrain. It is equipped with the AGCO Power 74 LFTN engine tuned to 258 hp (190 kW), offering 28 horsepower more than the 6F GT model. This increase is crucial: it allows the machine to maintain constant speed even with a full 15-ton load, conquering slopes where others stall. The 1130 Nm torque ensures an immediate and forceful response in any situation.

Extendable Load Bay : Versatility is its stronghold. The length of the load bay is adjustable from 4.25 m to 5.6 m, with a cross-sectional area that can expand up to 5.85 m². This allows for easily transporting two stacks of 3-meter logs or long Eucalyptus and Pine stems, adapting to sawmill and paper mill requirements without needing to switch machines.

Transmission and Crane: The tractive force remains at an impressive 196 kN, managed by a 2-speed hydrostatic-mechanical transmission. For loading, it relies on the Mesera 92 F crane with 130 kNm of lifting torque, a fast and precise tool that reduces cycle time at every stop.

1. What do I gain with the 8F GT compared to the 6F GT? You gain an extra ton of legal load capacity (15t vs 14t) and, most importantly, more power (258 hp vs 230 hp). This translates into faster cycles, especially on uphill climbs or soft terrain where the extra power prevents the machine from losing speed.  

2. Is it too big for narrow paths? It has a similar width to other forwarders in its class with 710 tires. However, its load bay length, extendable up to 5.6 meters, makes it a longer machine, requiring a slightly larger turning radius at the headlands.

3. How does it perform regarding fuel consumption? Thanks to the TOC 2 control system, the AGCO engine adjusts its performance to real demand. Although it is more powerful, its thermodynamic efficiency is excellent, maintaining a very competitive cost per transported ton.

4. Can it fit tracks on all axles? Yes, its robust bogies and 26.5″ tires are designed to mount tracks, which is highly recommended to fully utilize its 196 kN of traction on wet northern soils.
