Short Radius (SR) Design and Superior Stability
The TR 190 SR is distinguished by its “Short Radius” configuration. With a transport length of 8,950 mm (compared to 9,570 mm for the standard model), it allows the turret to rotate with minimal overhang beyond the tracks. To compensate for this compact design and guarantee stability with large heads, the machine has been ballasted up to 25,000 kg, making it the most robust in its series. 

Armoring and Total Safety
No matter how tight the environment, safety is non-negotiable. The cab features ROPS/FOPS certification and OPS polycarbonate windows as standard. Furthermore, the machine comes armored with “Heavy Duty” (HD) protection on the swivel joint, reinforcements on travel motors, hose protection on the boom/stick, and complete coverage of the upper structure and hoods, protecting your investment from impacts and falling branches. 

High-Flow Hydraulics
Despite its compact profile, the TR 190 SR is a hydraulic powerhouse. Its circuit delivers an impressive flow of 450 l/min at 350 bar. This allows it to operate high-demand attachments with ease, such as large processors or disc fellers, maintaining a fast and fluid duty cycle.

1. What does “SR” mean and when should I choose this model? “SR” stands for Short Radius. You should choose this model if you work in dense forests, narrow paths, or selective zones where space to rotate the machine is limited. Its design prevents the rear counterweight from hitting trees or obstacles while rotating.

2. Is the TR 190 SR less stable than the normal version because it is shorter? On the contrary. To compensate for the reduced swing radius, FPM has designed this model with a higher operating weight (25,000 kg vs. 23,200 kg for the standard). This confers exceptional stability, allowing it to handle large heads like the AFM 65 without issues.

3. Does it have the same power as the standard tail models? Yes, the power is identical. It mounts the same 190 HP Cummins B6.7 engine and offers the same hydraulic flow of 450 l/min at 350 bar. You don’t lose performance; you gain maneuverability.    

4. Are forestry protections included? Absolutely. It includes the certified ROPS/FOPS structure, OPS polycarbonate windows, undercarriage protection, cylinder guards, and the HD package for the swivel joint and travel motors as standard.
