Engineering and Design: Hardox® Durability for Subsoil Work. Following the “engineering for the woods” philosophy, the Woodcracker S200 is manufactured entirely from high-strength Hardox® steel. To ensure extreme durability against humidity and wear in challenging environments, the structure undergoes a KTL (cathodic dip-priming) treatment followed by powder coating. Its high-hardness technical blade is designed to penetrate stump wood with minimal maintenance requirements.     

Performance and Handling: Integrated Cutting and Movement. Unlike traditional stump grinders, the S-series allows for the cutting and removal of the stump in a single maneuver. With an operating weight of just 170 kg, the S200 is exceptionally agile, facilitating subsequent processing and chipping of the collected material. It is the ideal solution for mobilizing additional biomass by harvesting residual trunk wood.

Eco-design and Stability: Soil Protection. One of the greatest advantages of the S200 is its ability to perform a clean cut flush with the ground. By leaving the primary root system in the earth, the natural nutrient cycle is maintained and, crucially, soil anchoring is preserved. This feature is vital in sandy, loose, or erosion-prone soils, particularly on slopes where total root removal would compromise ground stability.

1. Why is this system better than a stump grinder? It is faster and safer. Additionally, it allows you to harvest the upper part of the stump for biomass while leaving the root system in the soil to prevent erosion—something that grinding completely destroys.  

2. Can it be used on steep slopes? Yes. The Woodcracker S200 was developed specifically to maintain soil anchoring in erosion-prone areas, which is essential for forestry work on hillsides.

3. What maintenance does the blade require? Thanks to the use of Hardox® steel, wear is very low. Periodic sharpening inspections are recommended based on soil hardness and intensity of use.

4. Does it allow for loading the cut material? Yes, the design enables you to cut and move material in the same work step, facilitating area cleanup and the transport of residual material.

5. Is it compatible with any mini-excavator? Yes, provided it falls within the 1.5 to 6-ton weight range and meets the hydraulic flow and pressure requirements.
