Following the “engineering for the woods” philosophy, the Woodcracker CL320 is manufactured entirely from high-strength Hardox® steel. This material ensures exceptional durability against mechanical wear while maintaining a low dead weight (620 – 1,170 kg), allowing it to be mounted on large farm loaders, wheel loaders, or telehandlers. To withstand humidity and harsh climates, the structure features a KTL (cathodic dip-priming) treatment and industrial-grade powder coating for superior corrosion protection.

This head stands out for its agility on the job site, thanks to a simple connection to the carrier machine with an optimized mounting angle. The CL320 offers several options to maximize productivity: from the Autospeed system for faster cutting cycles in smaller timber to the optional collector (accumulator) that allows for the gathering of several stems before depositing them. Its hydraulic system is designed for flows between 70 and 150 l/min, ensuring fluid and powerful operation.

The cutting mechanism incorporates a high-strength blade that is resistant to dirt and stones, a vital feature in rugged forest terrain. 1. What is the actual cutting capacity of the Woodcracker CL320? This model reaches a cutting diameter of up to 400 mm in softwood and 320 mm in hardwood.

2. Can it be used for safety tree felling on roadsides? It is not recommended for high-risk safety tree felling. The CL series does not guarantee a full safety grip of the material after the cut; for those cases, we recommend the Woodcracker C or CS series.

3. What maintenance does the cutting blade require? The blade is extremely robust and insensitive to dirt. It is replaceable and easy to resharpen, which significantly simplifies daily maintenance in the field.

4. Can I install it on a farm loader or telehandler? Yes. Thanks to its low dead weight, the CL320 is suitable for farm loaders, wheel loaders, and telehandlers in addition to standard excavators.

5. What advantage does the swivel unit offer? It allows for a tilt of 48° to each side (2 x 48°), facilitating the positioning of the head on slopes or when engaging trees from complex angles.
