True to the “engineering for the woods” philosophy, the Woodcracker L700 stands out for its flat design, specifically developed to allow work extremely close to the ground. It is manufactured entirely from high-strength Hardox® steel and features premium pin bearings, ensuring a long service life and exceptional resistance to mechanical wear. To combat harsh environments, the entire structure undergoes a KTL (cathodic dip-priming) treatment and anti-corrosive powder coating.  

Performance and Feed: Versatile Power.
The L700 offers a 700 mm gripper opening, allowing it to engage large logs with a splitting force of up to 22 tons. Its hydraulic system is optimized for low flow rates (25–60 l/min), facilitating its integration into a wide variety of base machines without compromising cycle speed. Thanks to its intelligent design, it requires very little force from the carrier machine to split even the hardest woods.

Biomass Quality and Versatility: Professional Multi-functionality.
Pre-splitting with the L700 enables natural wood seasoning, significantly increasing biomass quality and its final energy yield. Beyond its primary function, its robustness allows it to be used as a conventional loading gripper, enabling the operator to split, organize, and feed chippers without changing attachments, which represents an unmatched reduction in operational costs.

2. Is it compatible with a tractor-mounted forestry crane? Absolutely. The L700 features various semi-stationary mounting options, making it ideal for installation on forestry trailers, timber cranes, or directly at the intake of a chipper.  

3. How does this splitter improve biomass? Pre-splitting exposes the log’s interior to the air, facilitating much faster natural seasoning. This reduces moisture content, prevents degradation, and significantly raises the energy value of the resulting wood chips.
