Its heavy-duty chassis has been oversized to withstand continuous 18,000 kg loads, even in the harshest climates and terrains (from Arctic winters to tropical heat). The load bay is immense, expandable up to 6 meters in length and with a cross-sectional area of 6 m², allowing for gigantic loads on every trip and drastically reducing the cost per cubic meter.

Unstoppable Power and Traction: To move 18 tons plus the machine’s own weight (22t), Logset has equipped the 10F GT with the 291 hp (214 kW) AGCO Power 74 LFTN engine and a crushing torque of 1280 Nm. This brute force is channeled through a hydrostatic transmission that generates a tractive force of 224 kN, ensuring the machine advances without hesitation, regardless of slope or load.

Superior Class Crane: A forwarder of this caliber needs a crane to match. It comes standard equipped with the Mesera 122 F, offering a lifting torque of 155 kNm. This power allows for lifting very heavy logs or even full trees with ease, speeding up loading and unloading. The optional Mesera 142 F is also available for those requiring even more power.

FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions) 

1. Is the 10F GT too big for normal forests? It is a large machine (22 tons own weight), designed for main skid trails and final felling sites where space is not the main issue, but volume is. It is not suitable for tight thinning, but it is unbeatable in mass production.    

2. What is the advantage of the Mesera 122 F crane? With 155 kNm of force, it is much more powerful than standard 100-120 kNm cranes. This means you can lift multiple large logs at once or handle very heavy timber at maximum reach (up to 10 meters) without the machine losing stability.

3. How is fuel consumption for a 291 hp machine? Although the engine is powerful, the efficiency of the hydraulic system and the TOC 2 electronic management keep consumption under control. The fuel cost per transported ton is often lower than in smaller machines, as it carries significantly more wood on every trip.

4. What type of tires does it use? It fits wide 750/55-26.5 tires as standard. These extra-wide tires help distribute the 40-ton total weight (machine + load) over the ground, reducing compaction and improving flotation on soft terrain.

5. Is it easy to maintain? Logset has designed the 10F GT with long-term reliability in mind. All service points are accessible, and hydraulic components are oversized to work at lower relative pressure, which extends their service life and reduces breakdown downtime.
