True to the “engineering for the woods” philosophy, the Woodcracker C450 is built entirely from high-strength Hardox® steel, ensuring an extended service life even under the heaviest workloads. The chassis features sophisticated ergonomic geometry and a KTL (cathodic dip-priming) protection treatment finished with powder coating, providing superior corrosion resistance in humid forestry environments.

Performance: Powerful and Safe Cutting. The system is based on low-wear and low-maintenance shear cutting technology.
Equipped as standard with the Multigrip controller, the C450 ensures a synchronized and powerful grip before the cut begins. The hydraulic cylinders feature end-position damping, protecting the structure from mechanical impacts and allowing for smooth, rapid progress in dense forest stands.

Cutting Quality and Versatility: Hardox® Precision.
The unit features a patented high-strength blade, easily replaceable and resharpenable, ensuring a clean cut for diameters up to 500 mm in softwood and 450 mm in hardwood. Thanks to its “Plug & Play” mounting system, it requires only 5 hydraulic connections to manage all functions, including advanced options like the tilt system or the collector (accumulator) for processing multiple stems simultaneously.

It ensures the tree is firmly held before the blade starts moving and allows the blade to be released first when depositing the log, maintaining a safety grip throughout the process.

2. Can it be installed on any 20-25 ton excavator? Yes, it is compatible with any standard excavator on the market. Its simple connection design requires only 5 hydraulic couplings to operate all functions, facilitating a fast and efficient installation.

3. How is the blade maintained? The Woodcracker C450 uses a patented high-strength blade that is very easy to sharpen and, if necessary, replace. The fastening system is designed to minimize downtime in the field.  

4. What is the “Autospeed” option for? The optional Autospeed system allows the cutting mechanism to close much faster when working with thin wood or shrubs, significantly increasing productivity in thinning and biomass clearing.
