Remote-Controlled Tracked Carrier – FAE RCU 75 (Steel Tracks)

The most powerful remote-controlled carrier in its class for heavy-duty clearing on extreme slopes.
The FAE RCU 75 is the most powerful remote-controlled vehicle in its category, featuring a 74 hp engine and an operating weight of 3,470 kg in its steel track version. Engineered for forestry, roadside, and municipal maintenance, it offers unmatched mechanical traction on abrasive terrains and extreme gradients of up to 55°. Its multi-function capability, powered by the universal SAE coupling, makes it the ultimate professional platform for high-performance mulching and asphalt milling.

Large description

Engineering and Design: Structural Resilience and Stability.
he RCU 75 has been developed based on FAE’s extensive experience in designing PT-series heavy carriers and Demining systems. Its reinforced steel structure provides integral protection for internal components against impacts in hostile environments. The undercarriage stands out for its hydraulic variable track gauge system, allowing the steel tracks to expand from 1,700 mm to 2,100 mm independently, guaranteeing absolute lateral stability on complex orographies.

Performance and Power: Intelligent Kohler & Danfoss Technology.
Equipped with a Kohler (Rehlko) KDI 2504 turbo aftercooler diesel engine, the RCU 75 delivers constant power in compliance with Stage V emission standards. Its independent hydrostatic transmission utilizes 28 cc Danfoss pumps for travel and a dedicated 45 cc pump for the attachment, ensuring the head always receives maximum flow. The Load Control system automatically manages travel speed to prioritize attachment power and prevent engine stalling under sudden loads.

Operational Quality: Remote-Controlled Precision and Multi-functionality.
Operations are managed via a professional ergonomic remote control with a 3.5″ display and a 250 m range, allowing the operator to always work from a safe position. The vehicle incorporates a self-cleaning radiator with a proportional reversible fan that automatically keeps the system free of forestry debris. Furthermore, its SAE attachment plate allows for quick switching between Bite Limiter mulchers, road planers, or third-party tools, maximizing fleet profitability.

Fleet Compatibility: The RCU 75 is a versatile platform compatible with a wide range of specialized FAE and third-party attachments:

  • BL2/RCU75-150: Forestry mulcher with Bite Limiter technology for wood up to 15 cm.
  • PMM/RCU75-175: Flail mulcher with swinging hammers for grass and shrubs up to 8 cm.
  • SCL/RCU75: Stump grinder for roots and stumps up to 40 cm in diameter.
  • RPL/SSL-45: Road planer with a working depth of up to 170 mm.
  • SAE Attachments: Compatible with third-party wood chippers, sweepers, forks, and mixing buckets for skid steers.
